Day 14 – June 19 – After a really brief night on the road, Ben and Nancy continued their drive to Portland. Upon arriving, Ben and Bill Smith immediately tore into the engine and discovered that the low drum was cracked completely through in four places. A new drum was ordered for overnight delivery but a friend of Bill Smith had a spare drum and the repairs began. At Crater Lake, Ken, Joyce, and Ross arrived and joined the others for the second night at this beautiful location. Crater Lake is one of the deepest and bluest lakes in America and is located high in a crater left from an old inactive volcano. They were having a lot more fun than we were.

Sorry, we do not have photographs for this day yet.
